Peninsula Community Legal Centre has created six short courses to explain a few key intersecting systems you’re likely to be encountering as a family violence worker. These six courses are:
- Introduction to Legal Help for your Clients
- Family Violence System
- Family Law System
- Relationship Property
- Child Protection System
- Debt, fines, tenancy, VOCAT, Immigration and other common legal issues
They can be approached in any order and are designed to be easy to jump in and out of as needed. Each course is made up of videos, links to further resources, factsheets and more which build on the material. They are supposed to act as a bit of a training manual – with real, practical guidance on how to help and what not to do.
